Welcome to Billingham International Folklore Festival of World Dance
Billingham International Folklore Festival (BIFF) is dedicated to bringing you the very best of traditional and contemporary dance from across the world.
The strength of our festival lies in its incredible history, always thriving as a festival where local meets global. International companies bring their dance, music and culture to Billingham, showcasing to local audiences a vast repertoire of performance in spectacular costumes.
BIFF also provides a platform for over 300 performers from around the world to collaborate in creating new work, fusing different styles of dance, art forms and sport.
Our excellent family programme offers creative experiences for people of all ages and abilities to try new things and to engage in dance and music workshops and community events.
In 2020 we have launched our year-round BIFF Projects Programme, which takes place in different venues and spaces, including the online space, building to the next full festival.
The next main Festival will take place from 9th to 17th August 2025.
