Welcome to Billingham International Folklore Festival of World Dance
Billingham International Folklore Festival (BIFF) is dedicated to bringing you the very best of traditional and contemporary dance from across the world.
The strength of our festival lies in its incredible history, always thriving as a festival where local meets global. International companies bring their dance, music and culture to Billingham, showcasing to local audiences a vast repertoire of performance in spectacular costume. BIFF also provides a platform for over 300 performers from around the world to collaborate in creating new work, fusing different styles of dance, art forms and sport. Once again, we welcome Balbir Singh Dance Company as our company-in-residence, to lead on the creation of new work for the festival.
Our excellent family programme offers creative experiences for people of all ages and abilities to try new things and to engage in dance and music workshops and community events.
This year we launched our year-round BIFF Projects Programme, which will take place in different venues and spaces, including the online space, building to the full festival in 2021.
